I mentioned the Chiefs last week, and what did they do…yes, they stunk it up once again, this time against the lowly Seattle Seahawks. I hate the Seahawks. There. I said it. Sorry Lexi, but it had to be said. What a bunch of losers, beginning with the man at the helm, Pete Carroll, and continuing through men of such moral character as Richard Sherman, Marshawn Lynch, et. al…how could you not find a way to love these pillars of the community? Let’s hope their fate is sealed quickly and they take a seat right next to the Chiefs, exiting the playoffs in round 1. At least then I won’t have to look at Carroll spitting his gum out on the sidelines.

What is more, and if you have been reading our posts, you know I have been harping on the officials all season. In week 16, they hit a new low. There is clearly a new definition of pass interference; and if ever there was a game that was skewed by the officiating, take note of the Green Bay Packers tilt against the NY Jets. The game was given to the Packers. Plain and simple. It was not much better in the Chiefs/Seahawks game, but at least in that game you did not have to deal with two pass interference penalty’s, in Overtime, to keep the game winning drive alive. It is chronic at this point and I once again reiterate my hope that technology take a back seat in these contests. Let’s restore order by returning to the official makes the call to the best of his or her ability and call it good. Human error is a part of the game and I actually think the pro sports leagues think too highly of themselves. Do you really care once a game is played that a single play, among the 150 or so that are run in a given game, may be wrong? Half the people are happy, half are sad. So be it. Move on to something that is worthy of your angst! And a missed call is not it!

The last week. A quiet swan song for the Fukuma/Finans, or a miracle comeback by one of the contenders? We’ll see soon enough so don’t forget to tune in for season ending summary next week!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
